ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Interface with staff members, parents, students, and the general public. Relieve the building principal of administrative detail by answering inquiries, handling routine correspondence and assembling data.
2. Receive visitors and channel information as needed.
3. Take and dispatch messages.
4. Prepare and distribute correspondence; perform other typing and clerical duties as needed.
5. Maintain well-organized files.
6. Exhibit knowledge of district and building policies, regulations, procedures and organization.
7. Maintain the highest level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student and district information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Computer skills as related to word processing and data entry. Proficient keyboarding skills, including touch typing ability.
3. Good oral and written communication skills.
4. Ability to operate basic office equipment.
5. Ability to organize work and perform multiple tasks.
6. Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
7. Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.
8. The person, while performing in this position, will be required to:
a. Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and to talk and hear;
b. Sit, and occasionally be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch;
c. Have specific vision abilities, to include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus;
d. Have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and
e. Possess effective communication, judgmental, planning and human relations skills.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. 183 days per year; 6.5 hours per day
2. Starting rate- $18.50 per hour
3. Salary and benefits according to the negotiated agreement between the Board of School Directors and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 384.
4. According to the School District Policy Manual (available online at www.ojrsd.com).
