Position Opening for Member Service Representative Call Center– locatedat Owen Electric Cooperative, Sparta, KY.
Member Service Representatives provide prompt, efficient, courteous, and reliable service that promotes goodwill between the Cooperative, the Membership, the general public, and Cooperative personnel. Member Service Representatives largely engage with the Cooperative's Membership in order to process payments, create payment arrangements, address concerns, and handle various questions about electric service. This position must provide members with information on rates, service rules and regulations, and policies in order to increases member understanding, gain acceptance of the Cooperative's programs, and promote a good image to the public.

Education:
- High School diploma or equivalency required.
- Business school diploma or Associate Degree in Business preferred.
Experience:
- Two year Member Service experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a pleasant telephone presence.
- Must be able to quickly assist members and work well under pressure.
- Must be a good team member by being courteous and conscientious in assisting and working with co-workers, groups, and other personnel.
- Must have good math aptitude and be attentive to detail.
- Must be competent in using the Cooperative's software systems.
Six months on-the-job training may be necessary before employee can perform satisfactory with minimum supervision.
