Import Export Compliance Specialist

Owen Daniels is currently partnered with a world leader in aerospace technology. They are a global brand who covers the full lifecycle of aircraft components, including design, manufacturing, and in-service support. They are currently seeking an Import Export Compliance Specialist for their Irvine facility to meet their import/export requirements and ensure a high level of customer service.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

·         Operationally responsible for import/export classification, clearance, and instructions, including correct customs treatment

·         Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory industry requirements, e.g., ITAR, CTPAT, EAR

·         Strategic input on on-site and group processes around import/export compliance

·         Develop and monitor trade compliance metrics/performance

·         Internal audits of import/export processes and customs entries

·         Working with engineering and procurement on new product coding

·         Accurate record-keeping and filing of applicable transactions

·         Conduct internal training on industry regulations

Essential/Desirable Experience Required

·         Proven experience within trade compliance in an import/export environment

·         Must hold a bachelors degree

·         Ideally experience within an MRO or aerospace setting

·         Strong IT skills and analytical approach

·         SAP GTS or equivalent experience
