Refuse Parts Manager
We are looking for an experienced Refuse Parts Manager to join our growing team. Reliance Equipment and J&R Equipment specialize in refuse and environmental equipment catering to municipal and contractor markets across the US with both companies operating withing the Owen Companies portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to help drive strategy and success in a key growth area of the two business footprints.
Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain operating plans, KPIs, and budget targets to meet departmental goals

P&L ownership of the refuse parts department across the two brands including revenue, margin, expenses, and working capital

Develop and maintain pricing and inventory strategies that align with departmental goals

Ownership of inventory and supply chain strategy and management including inventory levels, identifying new product offerings, and expansion of existing product offerings.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in standards and processes that drive customer service, accuracy, and efficiency

Help drive sales into new territories and assign resources to appropriately manage that workload

Lead effort to drive refuse e-commerce sales with spring 2026 website launch

Hire, train, and develop high-performing parts team members

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:

5 years of experience in parts, warehouse, or operations roles.

2 years of people leadership or supervisory experience.

Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership and expense control.

Deep knowledge of inventory management, cycle counting, and supply chain fundamentals.

Proven ability to manage customer escalations and deliver service excellence.

Experience using ERP and inventory management systems.

Strong communication, coaching, and problem solving skills.
This position can be assigned to a single on‑site location at one of the following locations: Fort Worth, TX; San Antonio, TX (Converse, TX); Houston, TX; or Oklahoma City, OK.
