Position Overview
The Construction Management Intern will gain direct exposure to active job sites, project management functions, and preconstruction processes. Interns will work alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and Engineers to support project execution while developing foundational knowledge in commercial construction operations.
This internship is designed to provide practical experience in field coordination, cost management, scheduling, subcontractor oversight, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Interns may support the following activities:
Field Operations
- Assist Superintendents with daily site coordination
- Participate in safety meetings and job site walks
- Review drawings and specifications
- Observe and document subcontractor performance
- Support quality control and punch list processes
Project Management
- Assist with project documentation and filing
- Support change order tracking and review
- Help prepare RFIs and submittals
- Participate in project progress meetings
- Monitor schedule updates and milestone tracking
Preconstruction & Estimating (as applicable)
- Assist with quantity takeoffs
- Review subcontractor bids
- Support cost comparisons and budget tracking
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain organized project files
- Assist with compliance documentation (insurance, waivers, etc.)
- Support internal reporting and project updates
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, participants will:
- Understand the full lifecycle of a commercial construction project
- Develop foundational skills in project coordination and documentation

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in both field and office environments
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Willingness to learn and take initiative

Base pay is positioned within the beginning salary range based on several factors including a candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
