What are the responsibilities and job description for the OMS Science Olympiad Advisor/Coach position at Owatonna Middle School?
Position Summary: Act as the Science Olympiad Advisor/Coach of the Owatonna Middle School Science Olympiad Program to work in partnership with the Owatonna High School Science Olympiad Program. The science olympiad advisor/coach will oversee all practices and competitions as well as the development of all participants as it relates to the science olympiad. The science olympiad program runs from early November to March each school year, depending on competition dates.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. 3 years of experience in a science olympiad program or a strong desire to learn about the science olympiad program is needed; extensive knowledge in regards to skill development; excellent inter/intra-personal skills; and a focus on leadership and the community of Owatonna as a whole are highly desired. Candidates must recognize that activities in Owatonna are a continuation of the educational process and must advise/coach accordingly. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Rate of Pay:
$963 STIPEND.
