Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master / Agile Team Leader to lead and support multiple software and technology teams in a complex, matrixed environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a servant leader, helping cross-functional teams improve Agile maturity, become more self-organized, and deliver high-quality technology solutions.
This role requires strong experience in Agile delivery, team coaching, stakeholder collaboration, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, and removing organizational and cross-team impediments.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master supporting multiple software or technology teams.
Active CSM (Certified Scrum Master) certification or PSM II (Professional Scrum Master II) or higher is mandatory.
Advanced Agile certifications such as CSP or SAFe Scrum Master are preferred.
Strong experience working with cross-functional teams in complex and matrixed organizations.
Experience in highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
Prior government experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach for multiple cross-functional software and technology teams.
Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies, including:
Sprint Planning
Daily Scrum / Stand-ups
Sprint Reviews
Sprint Retrospectives
Track team velocity, sprint progress, predictability, and delivery performance.
Identify, manage, and remove team and cross-team blockers, impediments, and dependencies.
Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
Help teams transition toward self-organization and high-performing Agile delivery.
Foster a collaborative and psychologically safe team environment.
Support teams in resolving conflicts and overcoming organizational resistance to Agile transformation.
Drive retrospective action items and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.
Work within established enterprise Agile frameworks and playbooks while identifying opportunities to improve Agile practices.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering teams, Business stakeholders, and leadership to improve delivery outcomes.
Manage dependencies and coordination across multiple Agile teams and stakeholders.
Promote transparency, accountability, collaboration, and effective Agile delivery practices.
