General Job Decription
As an assistant teacher you'll support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs, managing the classroom and ensuring a safe, stimulating environment. As an assitant teacher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and holistic development of the children under your care.
Responsibilities
- Engages in nurturing, positive, appropriate care and interactions with children based on their age
- Leads group work and group activities with children.
- Adheres to all established policies, procedures, and code of ethic
- Support in diaper changing and facilitate potty training activities
- Promote social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and educational interactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the childcare setting
- Sanitize classroom and classroom materials (Toys, mats, changing tables, eating surfaces, etc.)
- Consistent use of brightwheel application to track childrens day
- Assist classrooms with pottying and diapering
- Assist: Classroom Opening & Operating Responsibilities
- Assist: Classroom Operating & Closing Responsibilities
Experience
- 3/6 Months - Reviewing Lesson Plans (Preffered)
- 3/6 Months - Working with children with disabilities (Preferred)
- 3/6 Months - Leading Classroom Activies (Preferred)
- 1 year - Assistanting with Planning of classroom activities (required)
- 1 year - Brightwheel Usage (Preferred)
Requirements
- 1 - 2 years of professional childcare experience (Required)
- High School Diploma (Required- Must have prior to start date)
- Child Care Certification (Prefered- must have prior to start date)
- Associates, BS or BA (Strongly Preferred)
- GED (Required- must have prior to start date)
- Reliable Transportation (Required)
- Child Care Abuse Clearance (Required- must have prior to start date)
- National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (Required-must have prior to start date)
- FBI Clearances (Required - must have prior to start date)
- State Police Clearance (Required - must have prior to start date)
- Pediatric CPR (Required - must have prior to start date)
- Pediatric First Aid (Required - must have prior to start date)
- Fire and Safety (Required - must have prior to start date)
- Mandated Reporter Certification (Required - must have prior to start date)
- Childcare Physical and TB Test (Required - must have prior to start date)
- 2 Letters of recommendation- Non Family (Required - must have prior to start date)
