Pharmacy Courier

Position Summary
The Pharmacy Courier is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting prescription medications
and supplies to patients, healthcare facilities, and partner organizations within the Tri-State area. This
role ensures timely, accurate, and secure delivery of all pharmacy items while representing the
organization with professionalism and courtesy.
Key Responsibilities
 Safely operate a company-provided vehicle to deliver medications and supplies.
 Ensure accuracy of deliveries by verifying addresses, patient information, and medication
packages prior to departure.
 Maintain the security and confidentiality of all deliveries in compliance with HIPAA and
company policies.
 Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare
staff.
 Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and routes while ensuring timeliness.
 Complete delivery logs, receipts, and related paperwork accurately.
 Conduct basic vehicle checks (fuel, fluids, tire pressure) and promptly report any maintenance
needs.
 Follow all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company driving policies.
Qualifications
 High school diploma or equivalent required.
 Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
 Previous courier, delivery, or driving experience preferred.
 Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
 Excellent time management and organizational skills.
 Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and walking.
 Knowledge of the Tri-State area preferred.
Working Conditions
 Primarily driving and making deliveries throughout the Tri-State area.
 Frequent interaction with patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff.
 May require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on business needs.
Additional Requirements
 Must pass a background check and drug screening.
 Must maintain compliance with company safety and confidentiality standards.
