The Licensed Clinical Psychologist provides psychological assessment, consultation, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic services within the scope of West Virginia licensure and organizational policies. The position serves individuals with mental health, emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns through evidence-based practices while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal client outcomes.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological interviews, behavioral observations, and clinical assessments.
  • Administer, score, and interpret psychological and psychoeducational tests within the scope of licensure and competency.
  • Develop individualized treatment, intervention, and behavioral support plans.
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Complete diagnostic evaluations and formulate clinical impressions consistent with accepted standards of practice.
  • Conduct crisis assessments, suicide risk evaluations, and intervention planning.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, state, and federal requirements.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, counselors, educators, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care.
  • Provide consultation to staff, caregivers, schools, and community agencies regarding behavioral and psychological concerns.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment recommendations as appropriate.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical supervision (when applicable), continuing education, and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, HIPAA regulations, and applicable West Virginia laws governing the practice of psychology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in clinical psychology, Counseling Psychology, or another psychology program meeting West Virginia Board requirements.
  • Current West Virginia licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Master's-Level Psychologist.
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Two or more years of clinical experience in behavioral health, hospital, community mental health, correctional, educational, or integrated healthcare settings preferred.
  • Experience administering cognitive, personality, developmental, or behavioral assessments.
  • Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing (MI), or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) preferred.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or individuals with serious mental illness.

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards.

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to respond appropriately during behavioral health emergencies.
  • May require local travel between service sites.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position, and core hours and workdays are Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm. This position may require evening or weekend work.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
