Do you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and being part of a growing local farm business? Ovoka Farm is looking for a motivated, dependable team member to join our full-time staff.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced position where no two days are the same. One day you may be helping customers choose the perfect Wagyu steak, the next you're organizing inventory, packing orders, making deliveries, or supporting one of our farm-to-table events.

ResponsibilitiesFarm Store Operations
- Manage the daily operations of the Farm Store
- Open and close the Farm Store independently
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Process sales using our point-of-sale system
- Answer customer questions about Wagyu beef, wine, and other local products
- Learn (or have knowledge of) Wagyu beef cuts and cooking methods
- Merchandise and restock retail displays
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
Inventory & Order Fulfillment
- Organize and maintain freezer inventory
- Receive, rotate, and restock inventory
- Package and fulfill customer and wholesale orders
- Coordinate customer pickups
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management
- Assist with receiving deliveries from vendors
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
Deliveries
- Complete weekly local deliveries
- Pick up beef from our processing facility
- Load and unload products safely and efficiently
Events & Farm Support
- Assist with quarterly member pickup days
- Help prepare products for farmers markets, pop-up events, and special events
- Assist with farm-to-table dinners, tastings, festivals, and other on-farm events
- Support farm tours and guest experiences as needed
- Assist with general farm operations and projects as business needs evolve
Qualifications
- Retail, food service, agriculture, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Willingness to learn about Wagyu beef, wine, and other farm products
- Comfortable using technology and point-of-sale systems (or willing to learn)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working in a walk-in freezer for extended periods
- Able to stand, bend, walk, and remain active throughout the workday
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time (35–40 hours per week)
- Weekend availability required
- Occasional evenings required for special events
- Compensation based on experience
