What are the responsibilities and job description for the 26 ft. Non-CDL Box truck driver for Amazon Relay position at OVISL?
Box Truck Driver Job Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate vehicle while adhering to all safety regulations set forth by the Department of Transportation. Must follow all FMSCA Hours of service requirement.
- Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps using an electonic device. Ability to use ELD and GPS.
- Able to perform pre and post trip inspections.
- Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
- Load and unload cargo using a pallet jack
- Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to use a pallet jack and secure loads with e-straps
- Able to pass random drug tests
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to provide a 7 year MVR report
- DOT medical card required for job position
- No Criminal history, DUI/DWI convictions in the past 15 years
- Must be fluent in English
- Listening and verbal communication skills
- Dependability and punctuality a must
- Must have reliable transportation
Education, Experience, and Age Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Non-CDL (Must have a Driver's License)
- 26 years or older
