High School Science Teacher

We are seeking a teacher for high school science, with an emphasis on Biology or Physics. This position could be part-time or full-time.

In high school, Ovilla Christian will provide opportunities and guidance by challenging students in academics as well as athletics competition and the fine arts for learning, service, and leadership within a biblical framework to the glory of Jesus Christ. In alignment with the school's mission, all teachers have the responsibility to disciple students and actively engage in the OCS community in ways that promote student growth. This position requires:

• A Bachelor’s degree with a focus on education, subject matter, or related discipline. 
• Three years of demonstrated, effective teaching experience.
• The knowledge and skills to teach high school students with demonstrated expertise in the subject area(s) assigned.
• The ability to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed for the development of the whole adolescent—spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially.
• The desire and competence to plan collaboratively with colleagues to develop units and implement instruction that is coherent, purposeful, and engaging.
