Position Title: Lunch Room Monitor
Reports to: Building Principal
Salary Wage: $12.48
Opportunity:
Ovid-Elsie Area Schools is seeking a part-time lunch monitor at the middle school. This position involves supervising students during their lunch period, along with minimal preparation and clean-up.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The lunch monitor reports directly to the principal for the performance of the following assigned duties and responsibilities:
- Supervises and monitors students in the cafeteria during meals.
- To be alert at all times to the students and their needs.
- Circulates through the cafeteria during meals, making self available to students who may need any assistance.
- Maintains order in the cafeteria, reinforces manners, eating habits and cleanup procedures.
- Wash all lunch tables after each lunch period.
- Inform the building principal immediately of any serious problems.
- Establish and maintain a safe environment during lunch.
- Enforce safety rules and appropriate behavior standard policies set by the principal.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrates the ability to work successfully with children and adults
- Maintains high standard for work areas and appearance
- Complete fingerprinting, background check
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 10:30-12:30
- No lunch duty on ½ days
- following traditional school year calendar
