Overwatch operates with a structured chain of command and emphasizes professionalism, discipline, situational awareness, de-escalation, sound judgment, and accountability.
Position Summary
Overwatch Global Security Group is seeking experienced Security Specialists for nightclub, event, contracted security, and protective assignments.
This is not an entry-level security position.
Applicants must possess a current Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC) and meet at least one of the following professional-background requirements:
- Current or former United States military personnel
- Current or former sworn law enforcement officers
- Extensive professional Executive Protection / Close Protection experience
Corrections experience alone does not satisfy the law enforcement requirement.
Applicants who do not meet one of the experience requirements above and possess a current Massachusetts LTC should not apply.
Primary Responsibilities
Depending on assignment, responsibilities may include:
- Access control and credential verification
- Door, interior, and roaming security
- Crowd observation and management
- Conflict prevention and de-escalation
- Incident and emergency response
- VIP, artist, and client protection
- Executive Protection / Close Protection
- Contracted security assignments
- Incident documentation and reporting
Personnel must be capable of operating professionally in crowded, fast-paced, and potentially high-pressure environments while maintaining composure, restraint, situational awareness, and sound judgment.
Required Qualifications
All applicants must possess:
- Current Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC)
- Current/former military service, current/former sworn law enforcement experience, or extensive Executive Protection experience
- Strong situational awareness and professional judgment
- Strong verbal communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Professional clean and physically fit appearance and demeanor
- Reliability and punctuality
- Reliable transportation
- Late-night and weekend availability
- Ability to operate within a structured chain of command
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in crowded environments
Preferred Qualifications
Additional consideration may be given to candidates with:
- Executive Protection / Close Protection training
- Extensive Firearms Training/CQB
- Extensive Hand to Hand combat/ martial arts training
- Military combat arms, military police, security forces, protective services, or related experience
- Law enforcement patrol, investigations, tactical, or specialized-unit experience
- Large-scale event or nightlife security experience
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification
- EMT certification
- TCCC / TECC or trauma-care training
- Defensive tactics training
- Security leadership or supervisory experience
Schedule
- Nightclub assignments typically 1-4 nights per week
- Additional event and Executive Protection assignments as available
- Primarily nights and weekends
- Assignment frequency may increase based on performance, qualifications, reliability, and availability
Compensation varies based on assignment, experience, qualifications, and level of responsibility.
