Project Details
Overwatch CM is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team working on various projects for the CSU Chancellor’s Office. This person will be responsible for design management, scheduling, estimating, coordination & communication with internal stakeholders, contractor procurement, consultant procurement, consultant management, preconstruction management, construction management, and project closeout.
Daily Responsibilities
- Provide design, technical and administrative support during the preconstruction phase, construction phase and closeout phase.
- Responsible for project document control, circulating, receiving, tracking, and maintaining organized document files, i.e. Review plans, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs, schedules, etc. Responsible for circulating, receiving, tracking, and maintaining organized document files throughout all phases of design development, permitting, etc.
- Responsible for management of review comments from stakeholders, i.e. circulating design documents for review, collecting review comments, compiling, vetting, tracking, etc. to ensure issues are addressed.
- Assist with change order management. The PE shall be able to independently review change order requests for merit and fair pricing and prepare change orders for processing.
- Manage the closeout and turn over process.
- Assist to prepare project files for CSU system audit at project completion.
- Site conditions verification and support as needed.
- Responsible for setting up meetings as needed, note taking and follow-up.
Qualifications
- 5 years minimum experience in the construction industry as an Assistant PM or Project Engineer working on tenant improvement projects
- Prior higher education project experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and professional attitude
- Position is on-site, in-person only
Salary : $125,000 - $140,000
