What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Overture Partners?
What you’ll do
- Integrate acquired companies onto company systems and processes, including converting books from cash to accrual basis
- Own financial reporting and reconciliations across multiple entities while meeting firm deadlines
- Lead, coach, and develop a junior accounting team
- Manage multiple integration and close projects at once
- Strengthen processes, controls, and documentation as the company scales
What you bring
- Hands-on corporate accounting experience, including financial reporting and account reconciliations
- Experience converting companies from cash to accrual accounting
- ERP migration experience beyond QuickBooks (NetSuite, Oracle, Great Plains, or similar)
- Proven ability to lead and develop junior staff
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver multiple projects on deadline
Nice to have
- Public accounting background (Big 4 a plus)
- Acquisition, M&A, or company integration experience
- Exposure to AI tools in finance
- CPA
Salary : $130 - $140
