Job Summary____________________________________________________________________
The Marketing Associate supports implementing and coordinating marketing functions at Overture Center. Specific responsibilities include assistance with departmental invoicing and settlement preparation duties, spreadsheet, document, and project management and content management software maintenance. The role also involves marketing production workflow assistance, coordinating merchandise purchases for promotional giveaways, on and off-site event assistance, collateral delivery, distribution and storage assistance. Additionally, the Marketing Associate is responsible for promotional copywriting for paid advertising and promotional campaigns, coordination of the community ticketing and ticket donation programs, and working alongside the graphic design team to update printed signage around the building.
This is a part-time position with an expectation of 30 hours per week.
Roles & Responsibilities_____________________________________________________________
Financial Coordination:
- Coordinate the coding, routing, and tracking of marketing invoices and expenditures for show and non-show related campaign and departmental expenses using various spreadsheets and software programs.
- Route contracts and agreements with external partners and vendors.
- Collaborate on preparing show settlements with required documentation, including invoices and tear sheets, when requested.
Promotional Copywriting and Campaign Support:
- Write promotional copy for paid advertising and promotional campaigns. Play a key role in the proofing process.
- Coordinate the community ticketing and ticket donation programs.
Production Workflow and Collateral Management:
- Assist with marketing production workflow and approvals.
- Coordinate the delivery, storage, distribution, and archiving of printed collateral.
- Track the progress of production workflow using a variety of spreadsheets and software programs.
- Organize both digital and print materials for programs and other marketing-related collateral.
Signage Coordination:
- Coordinate internal and external signage reservation, billing, and storage system for poster cases, kiosks, sandwich boards, window clings, and digital signage.
- Work alongside the graphic design team to update and install printed signage around the building.
Event Assistance:
- Staff events related to marketing, including setting up and tearing down displays and marketing tables, including props and materials.
General Support:
- Act as a backup for marketing staff when appropriate.
- Provide general support to the marketing team as needed.

- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications____________________________________________________________________

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree preferred.
- 1-3 years’ relevant training and/or experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent writing and copyediting skills.
- Considerable knowledge of office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Attention to detail, self-motivation, and good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of business arithmetic.
- Ability to operate work processing, spreadsheet, database, and other financial software.
- Ability to use online project management tools like Asana or Monday.com to track budgets and projects.
Working Conditions
The requirements and conditions described below are representative of the general environment the employee is exposed to daily while performing this job.
- Primarily perform work in an office environment.
- Frequently move around the building and access or use computers, office equipment, telephones, and any other pertinent supplies, space, or equipment used to perform the position's duties.
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to operate a computer and telephone.
- Potential exposure to inclement weather (heath, cold, rain, snow) when working on poster cases or setting up/tearing down outside events.
- Ability to lift and carry large foam core board signage and boxes of print (10-25lbs)
