Job Description:
Overton Security is currently hiring for an Unarmed Security Officer in the Newark area for a local manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.
Location Type: Manufacturing Plant
Patrol Type: FOOT
Pay Rate: $21.50/hr paid weekly
Schedule: Wednesday- Sunday 1600-0030
Duties:
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
- Provide customer service to the general public
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and for important occurrences.
- Communicate with local fire and police, Overton Management, SOC and the customer.
- Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees, coworkers, etc…
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Have a current Guard Card.
- Have adequate English communication skills, both oral and written
- Have the ability to utilize wireless technology via mobile applications
- Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
- Must have a neat and professional appearance and hygiene standards
