Role Description The Journeyman Lineman & Journeyman Substation Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in Logandale, NV. This position is responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground distribution lines, as well as performing installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of substations and associated equipment. Day-to-day activities include working on energized and de-energized lines, operating heavy equipment and tools, performing switching and tagging, troubleshooting electrical and power distribution issues, and responding to outages and emergency situations. The role also involves adhering to safety regulations, completing work documentation, collaborating with crew members, and supporting reliable service to customers across the District’s service area.

Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electricity and power distribution systems, including construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Valid CDL Class A license with a safe driving record for the operation of line trucks and related vehicles.
- Experience operating heavy equipment used in line construction and substation work.
- Hands-on substation skills, including installation, testing, maintenance, and safe operation of substation equipment.
- Completion of a recognized journeyman lineman and/or journeyman substation technician apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices, use of PPE, and compliance with utility and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work in varied outdoor conditions, perform physically demanding tasks, and participate in on-call and emergency response.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maps, and work orders.
