Job Title: Youth Cheer Instructor (Program Coach)
Location: Northern Virginia (Herndon)
Job Description:
We’re looking for energetic, reliable instructors who enjoy working with kids! You’ll help children build confidence and learn the basics of various basic entry level cheer after school sports in a fun, positive environment.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience working with children
- Comfort in an athletic or recreational setting
- Basic knowledge of basic entry level cheerleading sport (we provide curriculum and training)
- Punctuality, professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm
- Reliable transportation to and from school sites (no mileage reimbursement)
- Availability between 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on weekdays (most classes are 60 minutes within this timeframe)
What You’ll Do:
- Lead or assist after-school entry level cheer sports classes at local elementary schools
- Run high-energy sessions focused on fun, teamwork, and skill-building
- Manage and transport your assigned equipment bag
- Engage kids in elementary school grades K-6th
- Ensure every child is safely dismissed before leaving
Pay and Growth:
- Starting pay: $20–$25/hour based on experience
- Top rate of $30/hour for returning, experienced coaches
Work Environment:
- Part-time, typically 1-3 days per week
- Classes have 10–20 kids
- Mandatory training
Expected hours: 2 - 6 per week
Work Location: In person
- Background check and fingerprinting will be mandatory
