Overseas Media Inc. is seeking a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day operations of our television facility. The primary focus of this role is preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting within a 24/7 broadcast environment.
The engineer will work across a wide range of systems, including master control, studio and control room equipment, cameras, basic production/ENG gear, post-production workflows, and media storage systems. The role also involves participation in system upgrades, small-scale implementations, and integration of new equipment both in-studio and across remote locations.
We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of experience in broadcast engineering, along with a foundational understanding of IT systems and networking. A relevant technical degree is a plus.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a television / broadcast environment (required)
- Understanding of video formats (HD/SD, 1080i/p, interlaced vs progressive)
- Experience with video streaming protocols (SRT / UDP)
- Basic understanding of MPEG-TS
- Familiarity with video codecs (H.264 / HEVC)
- Experience with playout systems or master control operations
- Basic networking knowledge
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot live broadcast issues
- Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server environments
- Russian — required
- English — sufficient to read and understand technical documentation
