Job Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to finishing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete construction and a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality finished surfaces efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare concrete forms for pouring, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
- Pour and spread concrete using shovels, rakes, and other hand tools, ensuring even distribution and proper consolidation.
- Finish concrete surfaces using various techniques, such as troweling, floating, and brooming, to achieve the desired texture and appearance.
- Create control joints and expansion joints in concrete surfaces using hand tools or saws, following project specifications.
- Repair and patch damaged or defective concrete surfaces as needed, using appropriate materials and techniques.
- Monitor concrete curing process and apply curing compounds or sealants as necessary to protect the surface and promote proper curing.
- Operate power trowels, edgers, and other finishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a concrete finisher in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of concrete materials, techniques, and tools used in finishing concrete surfaces.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
