As we expand operations near Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, and Durham, we're seeking a proactive, hands-on Site Superintendent to lead day-to-day construction activities and help us grow with intention.

This position is ideal for a skilled lead carpenter or foreman who's ready to take on a hybrid leadership role: part site manager, part hands-on builder. You'll oversee on-site operations, coordinate subs and materials, and keep the quality and schedule on track, while also stepping in with your own tools when needed. This is not an office job. It's a boots-on-the-ground role for someone who thrives in the field and loves solving problems independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise residential job sites from foundation through final finishes
• Coordinate subs, deliveries, materials, and inspections
• Perform hands-on carpentry and finish work as needed (framing, drywall, cabinetry, etc.)
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship
• Maintain site safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise and take ownership of solutions
• Communicate clearly with the Project Manager, clients, and vendors
• Use construction software (Materio, Slack, G Suite) to track progress and collaborate
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in residential construction with a well-rounded skillset across multiple trades
• Prior experience leading crews or supervising job sites
• Ability to read plans, manage timelines, and think ahead
• Strong knowledge of construction tools and equipment
• A high degree of integrity and a strong work ethic, you do what you say you'll do
• Independent problem-solver who doesn't wait for direction to fix issues
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Based within 30 to 40 minutes of the Chapel Hill/Durham/Hillsborough area
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices
• Experience using digital project management tools
• Desire to grow into a long-term leadership role as the company scales
  
  

Salary & Benefits

• Full time position
• Competitive salary at $55,000 to $65,000 per year, based on experience
