The Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Middle School Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction and support services to students with diverse learning needs while fostering academic growth, independence, and social-emotional development in a supportive middle school environment.

Candidates should be comfortable working in both inclusion and substantially separate settings and collaborating closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
Responsibilities
-Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
-Provide direct instruction and academic support to students with diverse learning needs
-Differentiate instruction and utilize evidence-based strategies to support student achievement
-Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
-Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
-Utilize educational technology and assistive technology to support learning and engagement
-Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
-Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities
-Support students’ social-emotional and behavioral growth in alignment with district expectations
