English Teacher

The Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District is seeking a passionate and student-centered Middle School English Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will inspire students to become thoughtful readers, effective writers, and confident communicators while fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, a commitment to meeting the needs of diverse learners, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with middle school students. Candidates should be comfortable integrating educational technology and collaborative learning strategies to support student engagement and achievement. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks Develop lessons that strengthen reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and critical thinking skills Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and student needs Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and educational technology to enhance learning Assess student progress and provide timely and meaningful feedback Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to promote student success Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives Support the social-emotional growth and development of middle school students
