About the Role
As a Senior Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in researching, analyzing, and presenting investment opportunities primarily within the waste and materials sectors, with some exposure to broader built environment strategies. Your work will include markets research, company competitive analyses, qualitative and quantitative assessments of target companies, financial pro formas for potential investments and overall risk assessments. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing platform and take on increasing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on investment opportunities within targeted sectors to identify potential transactions.
- Maintain organized pipelines of opportunities, managing workflows effectively.
- Analyze waste/materials markets and emerging technologies and companies in this sector, presenting findings to management.
- Research and evaluate emerging opportunities in materials sorting, reclamation, reuse and resale markets.
- Conduct policy research to identify relevant programs and opportunities.
- Monitor the progress of investments and provide periodic updates to management and team.
- Analyze private market valuations, transactions and key funders in target sectors.
- Maintain organized records for private investment research and portfolio holdings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- 2–5 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, with strong financial modeling, presentation and written communication skills.
- Atlanta-based with limited remote work flexibility (office is in Alpharetta)
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.
- Team-oriented and willing to take on ad hoc tasks as needed.
