Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340 bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children’s healthcare services. We offer the region’s only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients. Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Patient Care Technician you will be a crucial member of our collaborative nursing care team, delivering hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth procedures and recovery
- Providing non-medicated care like dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
- Keeping patient areas, operating rooms, and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
- Managing supplies, equipment, and environmental logs to keep the team ready and protect patients through infection control
- Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team while promoting safety and quality efforts
- With no hospital-based experience, must be able to attend the PCT Essentials Orientation (M-F 8a – 5pm first 2 weeks of employment) beginning May 2026
- SCHEDULE: FULL-TIME/NIGHTS: 6:45p-7:15a; 3 12-hr shifts with rotating weekends
- A minimum of a High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 years of experience in an acute care setting, Preferred.
- Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant License required or completion of the HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
- BCLS certification required upon hire.
- With no hospital-based experience, must be able to attend the PCT Essentials training (M-F 8a – 5pm first 2 weeks of employment) beginning MAY 2026.
