Job Summary And Qualifications
Under direct supervision of the Cardiology Non-Invasive Market Manager or Lead Tech, the ECHO Technologist Float is responsible for accurately performing echocardiograms on all patients (including infants, adolescents and adults).
What you will do in this role:
- Analyzing the information and providing calculations to assist the physician in providing appropriate care and treatment.
- Assists with stress testing, trans-esophageal echocardiograms, and any other activities assigned by the Cardiology Non-Invasive Manager to assure the department runs effectively and efficiently including the maintenance of patient records.
- The Cardiac Sonographer will carry out any other activities assigned by the Cardiology Non-Invasive Manager including Outreach assignments.
- Responds within 30 minutes when on stand-by.
- The ECHO Technologist Float in the Echo Tech Market Pool position provides care at both Overland Park Regional and Menorah Medical Center campuses, as determined by the Market Pool agreement and staffing assignments are subject to change based on facility staffing needs determined by Non-Invasive Market Manager and/or administration.
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program.
- 1 year experience in Sonography AND required licensure upon hire may be substituted for graduation from an accredited program.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required upon Hire.
- Certification with ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) recommended upon hire and required within 90 days of hire.
- One year of echo experience or graduate of cardiac sonographic program with combined training and experience of one year preferred.
