Job Summary And Qualifications
The Food and Nutrition Services Cook assists in the preparation of cooked foods for our patients, visitors and colleagues. Under direct supervision of the Executive Chef/Food Service Director, the Line Cook provides food that is safe, unadulterated, and attractive, that is prepared within the food safety guidelines. Hospital nutrition services ensure that all patients are fed according to their dietary needs and restrictions. Your food service experience and commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to a positive experience for our patients, visitors and colleagues.
What you will do in this role:
You will prepare, season and cook food for hospital patients, employees and visitors.
You will practice excellent food safety and sanitation procedures while working within the requirements of regulatory agencies.
You will assists with special events and catering functions.
You will serves on tray line and work as salad/sandwich cook and grill cook when needed.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
Food Handler’s Permit OR ServSafe Certificate required within 30 days of hire.
A minimum of one year cooking experience with quantities of 100 or greater.
