JOB SUMMARY:
Overland Corporation is a leading heavy civil construction company based in Ardmore, OK, with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and innovation. We specialize in asphalt paving, site development, and infrastructure projects across Oklahoma and North Texas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform field and laboratory testing of asphalt materials (density, gradation, asphalt content, etc.)
- Collect and prepare samples for analysis
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results
- Communicate findings with project managers and paving crews
- Ensure compliance with DOT and project-specific quality standards
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment
- Assist with mix design verification and troubleshooting
- 1 year of experience in asphalt testing or construction quality control (preferred)
- Familiarity with AASHTO, ASTM, and DOT testing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and overtime as needed.
