We are seeking a Technical Lead - UI to drive the design, architecture, and implementation of OverWatch, our mission-critical command-and-control (C2) interface for autonomous ground vehicles. This role combines hands-on frontend development with technical leadership, guiding a small team building highly reliable, performant UIs used in real-world operational environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable making architectural trade-offs, collaborating across disciplines, and iterating quickly based on direct user feedback from the field.

This role combines hands-on frontend development with technical leadership, guiding a small team building highly reliable, performant UIs used in real-world operational environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable making architectural trade-offs, collaborating across disciplines, and iterating quickly based on direct user feedback from the field.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the technical team responsible for developing a cutting-edge command-and- control (C2) interface for autonomous ground vehicles.
- Own the frontend architecture, defining coding standards, best practices, and design patterns for UI development.
- Remain hands-on in the codebase, contributing to core UI features, architectural components, and critical bug fixes.
- Partner closely with UX designers to translate design systems into high-quality, production-ready implementations.
- Collaborate with product managers to shape requirements and break work into clear, deliverable milestones.
- Get into the field to observe real users operating the system in training and operational environments, rapidly iterating and experimenting based on end-user needs.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline and 3 years relevant professional experience; OR 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with React and TypeScript.
- Proven experience leading technical teams or serving in a technical leadership role
- Experience with different frontend development languages and frameworks.
- Familiarity integrating with a variety of backend APIs.
- Experience working with multiple communication protocols; prior experience with MQTT is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with ATAK/TAK is strongly preferred
