What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscaper position at Overhill Gardens?
We are looking for a high-energy individual to help Overhill Gardens meet the increased demand for nature-inspired landscaping. Good attitude is paramount! We're looking for someone with experience but willing to learn our methodology. Detail oriented, thorough, hard-working, flexible and eager to please; must enjoy working outdoors and would thrive with building custom gardens for an appreciative client-base.
Some days will be spent at our nursery and shop, assisting the other staff in the activities of nursery production. Every day is unique and we are a close-knit team.
Below is a list of the varied tasks that can be expected:
- Loading plants and tools, equipment into trailers
- Plant layout, digging and installation; hand-grading
- Mulching, wheelbarrow use
- Hardscaping with natural materials, stone, brick, gravel, etc.
- Skid-steer operation for hauling, grading, digging, etc.
- Use of chainsaws, weed-eaters, augers, blowers
- Truck, dump truck driving
- Nursery work involving moving plants, potting, weeding, watering, infrastructure improvements
Requirements:
- Good transportation, clean driving history and valid drivers license
- Mon-Fri, 8-4:30 full time
- Physically fit, ability to lift 80 lbs.
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on all the varied tasks
- Reliable attendance and ability to work well alone and with others
Pay is commensurate with experience. An interest in obtaining a working knowledge of the horticulture industry and a dedication to increasing our company’s role in the trade will lead to increased compensation.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
