We're looking for a Senior Overhead Door Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial dock and door systems at client sites — keeping loading docks, security doors, and access points running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial dock and door systems — including dock levelers, dock restraints, overhead doors, and related hardware — as a commercial door technician servicing active commercial and industrial facilities
Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute commercial door installation and repair tasks
Perform welding and fabrication work to modify or reinforce door frames and metal components as needed
Follow all safety protocols for commercial dock and door environments, including work at heights and compliance with local codes and standards
Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with team members and clients on project status and technical issues
Skills & experience
Prior experience as a door technician or commercial door technician with hands-on installation and repair of dock and door equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings in commercial dock and door service contexts
Welding and metal fabrication experience a plus
Comfortable working in varied field conditions, including heavy lifting and construction environments
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
