Overhead Door Installer

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Overhead Door Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining overhead doors and related hardware across various construction sites and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of tools and materials, contributing to projects that enhance building functionality and security.

Responsibilities

• Install overhead doors, including tracks, springs, openers, and hardware using hand tools and power tools with precision and care
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation aligned with project plans
• Perform metal stud framing, door hanging, fixture installation, and trim carpentry to prepare spaces for door installation
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed to customize or repair door components
• Utilize construction site experience to safely handle heavy lifting, scaffolding, and working at heights during installations
• Apply caulking, locksmithing techniques, and electrical experience for seamless integration of door systems
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in overhead door installation, metal framing, or related construction fields with a focus on overhead doors or similar systems
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools effectively
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on construction sites or commercial properties
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical systems related to door installation
• Experience with fixture installation, cabinet installation, lock systems, electrical wiring, and remodeling projects is highly desirable
• Knowledge of metal stud framing, trim carpentry, carpentry skills including frame carpentry and drywall finishing
• Previous handyman experience or electrical background is a plus for versatile project support
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
