Overview
Overhead Door Company of Mid Louisiana™ – Commercial door division of Superior Resources is seeking candidates as Door Technician.
Responsible for servicing and installing commercial doors and related door equipment to commercial facilities located throughout Louisiana and neighboring states.
Duties
- Service, install, and repair steel rolling doors, sectional doors, high speed doors, loading dock doors, and service doors
- Perform service and installation on a wide range of products, including operators, accessories, hinges, door sections, rolling steel, torsion springs, dock equipment, etc.
- Miscellaneous low-voltage electrical such as troubleshooting, installation and wiring of controls & sensor
- Perform related minor work in framing, alterations, and modifications to existing structures
- Performs related work as assigned and may assist on other projects as needed
- Communicate effectively and keep detailed records of time, job notes, safety issues, and customer concerns
- Operate scissor lifts, forklifts and sky forks
- Care and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and tools
- Setup and secure a safe working environment and perform Jobsite Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Ability to drive service vehicle and tow trailer
- Assures regular maintenance is performed on service truck such as oil changes, tire rotations, washes, etc. and that required repairs are performed.
Requirements
- 3 years as commercial door installer or related field preferred
- Mechanical background, construction, and/or electrical experience
- Welding Experience in metal buildings and commercial door framing
- Able to safely operate man-lifts and material handling equipment
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class D driver’s license and clean driving record
- Prescreen drug testing and background check
- Overnight travel
PAY DOE
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
