At Overhead Door Company of Akron, we’re hiring an Installer / Service Helper to work alongside experienced technicians installing and repairing garage doors. You don’t need years of experience — just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the drive to build a career.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be working side-by-side with our technicians on real job sites:
Assist with garage door installation and repairs
Help remove old doors and prep openings for new installs
Hold, position, and secure materials during installs
Set up tools, organize materials, and keep jobs running smoothly
Clean up job sites and make sure everything looks right when we leave
Travel daily to residential and commercial job sites
You’re not just watching. You’re learning by doing.

Comfortable working with tools and your hands
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
Valid driver’s license
No experience required — we’ll train you on the job
