Specialist

This position will require you to be in Cleveland, OH
We are in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH

The Specialist's responsibilities include driving revenue by qualifying and managing inbound leads, engaging with K-12 school prospects, selling new Sora subscriptions and renewals, preparing quotes, processing contracts, and providing general account support throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of OverDrive products and services and clearly articulate our capabilities and advantages to prospective partners.
• Qualify inbound leads researching prospects using digital resources (e.g., website, tech news, industry sites, LinkedIn, etc.) updating lead information in Salesforce, and determining appropriate follow up.
• Manage inbound and outbound sales to small accounts including Sora Subscriptions, shared collection membership, and new Sora platforms.
• Initiate outreach to potential customers via phone and email using targeted contact lists, to generate interest, qualify leads, and convert them into sales opportunities.
• Conduct product demonstration calls with prospects, providing real-time chat support to address questions and enhance engagement.
• Prepare and process contracts, order forms, purchase orders, and quotes using internal processes and systems.
• Facilitate the completion of the renewal process.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Team to answer partner questions and solve problems related to purchase orders, invoicing, and payment.
• Complete purchasing tasks on behalf of partners as needed (Sora Subscriptions, Magazines, content returns, etc.).
• Provide responsive sales and product support to prospects and partners via the shared sales inbox, phone line, and case queue.
• Update contact information and perform data entry in Salesforce.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1 years’ related experience (inbound phone sales, sales, sales support, customer service, and inside sales). Experience working in the K-12 educational space is preferred.
• Windows and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. (Slack, Salesforce, or Confluence are a bonus).
• Familiarity with CRM software and researching prospects.
• Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation).
• Well-organized with a strong detail orientation.
• Confident and energetic; professional and team-oriented sales approach.
• Adaptable to new opportunities and processes.
