Position Summary
Overbey Electrical LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable Journeyman or Master Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial and industrial electrical experience, the ability to work independently or lead a crew, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
● Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems.
● Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.
● Install conduit, wire, lighting, panels, switchgear, and electrical equipment.
● Diagnose electrical problems and perform repairs efficiently.
● Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and company safety standards.
● Supervise and mentor apprentices when needed.
● Coordinate with project managers and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
● Current Kentucky Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
● Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
● Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
● Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
● Excellent work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
● Experience with commercial renovations, new construction, and service work.
● Leadership experience managing crews.
● Ability to operate lifts and other job-site equipment.
● OSHA certification is a plus.
