Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children aged 1 to 3 years. This role involves guiding toddlers through developmental milestones, fostering social and emotional growth, and supporting their early learning experiences. A strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and childcare is essential to ensure each child's individual needs are met with patience and professionalism.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Supervise and engage with toddlers during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily routines.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving responsibilities as needed.
- Use positive behavior management techniques to encourage good conduct and social skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that support developmental milestones.
- Document observations of children's progress to inform individualized learning plans.
- Follow all licensing requirements and center policies related to childcare standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or nannying settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs for infants and toddlers.
- Experience with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Background in early childhood education or special education enhances suitability for this role.
- Demonstrated ability to nurture, care for, and educate young children in a safe environment. Job Type: Part-time
