About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing systems that optimize our software development and production infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of microservices and open-source software, be comfortable managing cloud environments, and possess solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities Of a Sr. DevOps Engineer
At Ovative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position below is inclusive of an annual bonus. Actual offers are made with consideration for relevant experience and anticipated impact. For our Manager positions, our compensation ranges from $79,000 to $132,000, which is inclusive of a 20% bonus.

About The Role

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of microservices and open-source software, be comfortable managing cloud environments, and possess solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities Of a Sr. DevOps Engineer
- Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices and participate in security reviews and audits.
- Manage and maintain CI/CD tools with the team using tools like GitHub Actions to accelerate software development and deployment.
- Develop and maintain documentation for DevOps processes and systems.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues in development, testing, and production environments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize development workflows.
- Conduct system tests for security, performance, and availability.
- Develop and improve operational best practices and procedures.
- Ensure critical resolution of system issues using industry standard security solutions.
- Oversee periodic system audits and preparedness for possible recovery actions.
- 5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Site Reliability or Platform engineering
- Highly proficient in programming languages such as Python and Java
- Highly proficient in scripting languages like bash
- Highly proficient with infrastructure as code (Terraform, OpenTofu) and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Highly proficient in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Highly proficient understanding of microservices architecture and open-source software.
- Experience with security best practices and tools
- Experience with authentication strategies
- Experience with iterative development
- Experience working with databases
- Familiar with digital marketing and analytics space
