Role Description The Desktop Support Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in East Hanover, NJ. This role is responsible for providing hands-on support for desktop computers, peripherals, and printers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair. The technician will diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, perform routine troubleshooting, and escalate complex problems as needed. Day-to-day tasks include responding to support tickets, assisting end users with technical issues, documenting work performed, and following established procedures and service-level expectations. The role also involves collaborating with other technical resources and adhering to Ovation’s standards for quality, safety, and customer service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Desktop Computers and Computer Repair, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and hardware replacement.
- Candidates should possess solid Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for end users.
- Candidates should possess experience with Printer Support, including setup, maintenance, and resolving print-related problems in office environments.
- Ability to follow documented procedures, maintain accurate records of service activities, and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, basic networking concepts, and common office productivity applications.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , OEM certifications) or equivalent hands-on experience are beneficial.
- Reliable attendance, ability to work on-site in East Hanover, NJ, and willingness to support occasional after-hours or peak-period demands.
