Assistant Project Manager Construction

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be an integral part of our construction team, providing vital support in the successful execution of projects. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about construction and eager to learn and grow in the field. You will work closely with experienced superintendents, project managers, and construction crews to gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to the completion of projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects.
• Support the Project Manager with coordination of resources, equipment, meetings, and information on multiple concurrent projects.
• Organize and attend stakeholder meetings, and ensure project teams are aware of project deadlines.
• Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
• Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants.
• Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans, and money spent.
• Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g., contracts and terms of agreement).
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
• Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Proven work experience as a project coordinator or similar role.
• Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
• An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
• Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
