In this part-time role (about 16 hours a week), you will be working in our community outreach program for adults who are starting to suffer from cognitive impairments. These outpatient programs are scheduled throughout the week and as the Activity Coordinator, you will help guide, lead and develop these programs. This means helping with teaching and building cognitive and memory skills.
This is the perfect position for someone who is active, loves to help people and who only needs/wants to work a limited number of hours per week.
The most qualified person for this role will have:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Advanced training as a teacher or activity assistant is a plus
- At least two (2) years experience working in a role, helping others, teaching or leading groups is necessary
- Basic computer skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills
- Advanced communication skills and ability to connect with people
- Pleasant and fun demeanor
