Front Counter Sales Associate (Bilingual Preferred)

Job Summary
Outwest Building Supply is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play a key role in delivering excellent service, supporting sales, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
We proudly serve a diverse customer base and are actively seeking bilingual team members (English/Spanish preferred) who can help us better communicate with and support all customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance
- Help customers find products and offer recommendations based on their needs
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments responsibly
- Maintain an organized, clean, and fully stocked sales floor
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers with professionalism
- Address customer questions and resolve issues efficiently
- Assist with inventory tracking, stock replenishment, and merchandising
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet sales and service goals
Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred; additional languages are a plus
- Ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Basic familiarity with POS systems and cash handling is a plus
- Dependable, proactive, and eager to learn
Position Details
- Full-time (40–50 hours per week)
- Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (opportunity for higher starting pay based on experience and language skills)
