What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant position at Outsourced Legal Services, LLC?
Position Summary:
A Legal assistant provides assistance to attorneys on managing client case-files. This includes client communication, document review, recording, filing and accounts receivables. The legal assistant also acts as the liaison between a client and their attorney.
Essential Daily Functions:
- Conduct welcome calls to new-client along with processing initial case file documents required from the client.
- Conduct a monthly case-file update to each assigned client assuring all documents are up-to-date and correct.
- Relay communications or case developments to clients as the attorney instructs.
- Inform the client of any litigation follow ups as the attorney may request.
- Review all documents sent in from the clients and/or counter parties to choose the proper letter response for the attorney’s approval.
- Complete all procedures to review correspondence being sent out on the client’s behalf in regards to representing and disputing the creditor accounts.
- Address any client default payments and/or client payment modification requests to the supervisor for approval and document execution.
- Forward all litigation materials from the client to the attorney so they are up to date.
- Update the status of each account in a case-file as they get resolved.
