State Fair Dates: September 25–October 18, 2026
Outside, Texas is hiring 2–3 dependable part-time team members to work upcoming events and join our retail team at the 2026 State Fair of Texas.
We're looking to bring people on before the Fair for training and hands-on experience at Outside, Texas weekend events and pop-up stores.
The State Fair role will run from September 25 through October 18, with opportunities for continued part-time weekend event work afterward.
Before the Fair
Selected employees may begin working and training with us at upcoming events before September 25.
Training may include:
- Outside, Texas products and brand
- Customer service and sales
- Shopify POS
- Merchandising
- Inventory
- Event setup and breakdown
- Working a pop-up retail store
Most Outside, Texas events take place on Saturdays and Sundays.
State Fair of Texas
The Fair runs:
September 25–October 18, 2026
Fair Hours: 10 AM–9 PM daily
Our Outside, Texas store will be located inside an air-conditioned building at the State Fair.
Employees will work scheduled shifts alongside the Outside, Texas Store Manager and ownership team.
Responsibilities may include:
- Greeting and helping customers
- Selling Outside, Texas merchandise
- Operating Shopify POS
- Restocking products
- Maintaining displays and merchandising
- Keeping the store clean and organized
- Inventory assistance
- Opening or closing support when scheduled
- Assisting with store setup before the Fair
- Assisting with breakdown after the Fair
After the Fair
There will be opportunities for continued part-time work at Outside, Texas events throughout the year.
These can include:
- Dallas Farmers Market
- Festivals
- Pop-up stores
- Outdoor events
- Special events
- Retail partner events
- Brand activations
Most of these events take place on Saturdays and Sundays.
Event responsibilities can include loading merchandise, setup, customer service, sales, POS, inventory, breakdown and returning equipment and products after the event.

- Represent Outside, Texas well
Retail, hospitality, customer service or event experience is helpful but not required.
We're more interested in finding dependable people with the right attitude who are willing to learn.
Availability
Applicants should have significant availability between September 25 and October 18.
Weekend availability before and after the Fair is strongly preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 30.0 per week
