Position Overview
The Boutique Sales Manager serves as both a brand ambassador and strategic sales leader, responsible for cultivating an immersive, welcoming environment that reflects the sophistication and storytelling of the brand while driving commercial performance. This role combines a strong sense of aesthetics and emotional intelligence with a deep understanding of luxury clientele and experiential retail.
The ideal candidate will lead and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals, while building meaningful client relationships and delivering elevated, personalized experiences. They will oversee the full sales lifecycle and ensure consistent execution of sales initiatives aligned with business objectives.
In addition to leading frontline sales efforts, the Boutique Sales Manager will mentor and develop the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, and brand alignment. This role also requires strong operational oversight—tracking performance metrics, analyzing sales data, and reporting on results and projections to inform decision-making.
Core Responsibilities
Luxury Client Experience
- Deliver highly personalized, elevated service that exceeds client expectations
- Cultivate long-term client relationships through intentional clienteling and follow-up communication
- Create a welcoming and immersive boutique environment centered around discovery, ritual, and sensory experience
- Anticipate client needs while providing thoughtful product recommendations and tailored experiences
- Resolve client concerns with discretion, professionalism, and warmth
Brand Leadership & Culture
- Embody and uphold the brand’s luxury positioning, visual identity, and service philosophy
- Lead, inspire, and develop a boutique team rooted in hospitality and service excellence
- Foster a collaborative and positive culture focused on accountability, refinement, and inclusivity
- Serve as a mentor and coach through ongoing feedback and development conversations
- Lead by example through active floor presence and elevated selling behaviors
Business Performance & Clienteling
- Drive boutique sales performance and consistently achieve revenue goals
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators including conversion, average transaction value, repeat clientele, and client retention
- Assist in planning, managing, and hosting in-store events, brand experiences, and client engagement activations
- Utilize client outreach strategies to strengthen loyalty and repeat business
- Analyze business trends and operational reporting to identify growth opportunities
Boutique Operations & Presentation
- Maintain exceptional standards of boutique presentation, cleanliness, merchandising, and operational excellence
- Oversee inventory management, replenishment, and stock organization with strong attention to detail
- Ensure smooth daily operations including scheduling, payroll support, cash handling, and POS management
- Support seasonal launches, merchandising updates, and in-store storytelling initiatives
- Uphold all operational policies, safety procedures, and luxury service standards
Qualifications
- 2 years of leadership experience within luxury retail, beauty, wellness, fragrance, hospitality, or premium lifestyle environments
- Passion for luxury service, self-care, beauty, and experiential retail
- Strong clienteling and relationship-building abilities
- Proven success leading teams and driving sales performance
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong visual sensibility and attention to detail
- Weekend availability is required, including the ability to support key retail periods, activations, and special events
- Flexible availability including evenings and holidays
Preferred Experience
- Background in luxury beauty, skincare, fragrance, apothecary, or boutique hospitality concepts
- Experience managing and hosting boutique events, brand activations, or community-driven experiences
- Professional experience as a makeup artist or strong knowledge of makeup artistry and beauty application techniques preferred
- Experience working with affluent or high-touch clientele
- Familiarity with KPI-driven luxury retail environments
- Visual merchandising and styling experience preferred
Physical Requirements
