Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow
- Coordinate with the service team to assign tables efficiently and accommodate special requests
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and reservations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area to ensure a welcoming environment
- Assist with guest inquiries, provide directions within the restaurant, and handle guest relations with professionalism
- Support the restaurant team during busy periods by managing guest flow and ensuring smooth seating transitions
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Background in food service, serving, or hotel guest services is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations management
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest seating procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
