JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is an integral leader in supporting the mission, vision, and values of Outreach Community Health Centers (OCHC). The CMO provides effective leadership in accomplishing goals and establishing a healthy work environment for primary care and pharmacy services. The CMO reports directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures exceptional health care services are offered.
- Provides leadership to primary care and pharmacy, assuring that best clinical practices are used.
- Recruits, retains, develops, and motivates quality providers to meet patients’ needs.
- Oversees quality and performance improvement efforts.
- Provides guidance in risk and resource management strategies.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, county, and local laws and regulations.
- Engages with community organizations to decrease health disparities.
- Participates in strategic planning and facilitates execution of new service and access initiatives.
- Represents OCHC in community outreach and fund development opportunities.
- Participates in the development of the primary care budget, including staffing and supplies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Medicine and Residency Program
- Board Certified
- Licensed to practice in Wisconsin
- Two to five years of leadership experience strongly preferred
- Two to five years of clinical work in a health center or ambulatory clinic setting preferred.
